The Walter & Mary Alice Strunk Food Pantry
St. Paul maintains a non-perishable food pantry for members of our community who find themselves in need. We are honored to assist our brothers and sisters who have found themselves in need over the years and are incredibly thankful to the generosity of individuals and groups that have helped us keep our shelves stocked so that we may in turn help others. If you or someone you know has come upon hard times and is in need of some assistance, please contact the church office. Requests are kept confidential. Please visit our webpage for the Strunk Food Pantry for more information and a full list of items needed in our pantry.
Mitten Tree
Over the course of several weeks in the in December, coats, hats, scarves, gloves and sweaters in all sizes are collected. Once collected, these items are distributed to the homeless in the community before the onset of Winter.
My Brother's Keeper
With the help of some very committed members of St. Paul and the generous donations of blankets, hats, scarves, sweaters and gloves, our Confirmands gather each winter and make sleeping bags for the homeless. A sweater, hat, gloves, scarf and devotional are then placed inside the completed sleeping bag. While one child recites a prayer, the others on the "team" roll and tie the newly made bag. Completed sleeping bags are then distributed amongst the areas homeless.
