Committees
As Christians we are compelled to give back in the form of our Time, Talent and Treasures. One way many of our members give back is to get involved with one of our many committees. Do you have some spare time, just a few hours a month? Do you have a talent, vocation or hobby that could help the church? Take a look through our list of committees and visit their individual pages to see if there is something you could be involved in. It is easy to join up. Just show up to the monthly meeting and pitch in. Each committee has different resposibilities so if you have any questions about what each one does, just stop in to our Sunday service and speak to someone who in already serving. Any of our committee members will be happy to speak to you about their commiittee.
Finance
The Finance Committee is responsible for monitoring the expenditures of the church, the reporting of the financial picture to the Congregational Council and to our members, as well as preparing a proposed budget for submission to the Congregational Council.

If you are interested in joining this committee or would simply like more information, please contact either a member of this committee or the church office. New members are always welcome!

We meet every 2nd Thursday of the month. These meetings will be held at 7 PM.

Our Mission Statement:
The Finance Committee shall prepare a draft budget for the succeeding year, including this congregation's support of the wider ministry being carried on its behalf by the ELCA and the synod, and shall submit such draft to the church council for its action and later presentation to a congregational meeting. The committee shall exercise oversight of all the financial affairs of the congregation to make sure that they are being conducted efficiently, giving particular attention to the prompt payment fo all obligations and to the regular forwarding of benevolence monies to the Synodical treasurer. It shall, subject to the approval of the congregational council, be responsible for the congregation's investments and its total insurance program.
Outreach
Although this committee does not go door to door in an attempt to spread the Good News, we do sponsor events that will help bring people together from our Community for fellowship opportunities and mission projects alike. These events are a fun way to gather and share the love of God with others! Our events are open to members as well as to the community so we do hope you'll keep your eyes open for upcoming events and invite a friend!
If you are interested in sharing your time & talents with this committee or if you would simply like more information, please contact a committee member or the church office. New members are always welcome!

"Thus it was not without reason that the fathers and prophets wanted nothing else to be associated as closely with the Word of God as music. Therefore, we have so many hymns and Psalms where message and music join to move the listener's soul, while in other living beings and sounding bodies, music remains a language without words. After all, the gift of language combined with the gift of song was only given to man to let him know that he should praise God with both words and music, namely, by proclaiming the Word of God through music and by providing sweet melodies with words."
~ Martin Luther ~
